This new platform enables you to create a personal URL that others can use to quickly, and conveniently transfer you funds. All that's required is a PayPal account and a working, compatible smartphone with internet access. Your link can be shared on social media for others to use. Simply hit the link, enter the amount you wish to send that person and hit send. PayPal will then wire the funds directly from your account to the one specified by hitting the connected URL. It's a neat service that works with both Android and iPhone, as well as desktop and various tablets. Source: PayPal.Me. This app can be used in a few cases, but most notably, if you and your group of friends do something together, now only the best photographer of the bunch needs to worry about snapping shots. At the end of the day, all you need to do is select which photos to share privately, choose who to share with, then you are done. Another case is weddings.

I don’t know what kind of future they envisioned at that time, but Google Voice is still functioning today almost exactly as it was then – as is Hangouts. Now we also have Project Fi added to the whole equation, so the “future” is still mostly uncertain for one of Google’s services that is arguably one of its most innovative, even if the company has neglected it for years.

Google’s new My Account site offers everything you need to “control, protect, and secure your account, all in one place.” That includes checkups to ensure that your info is private and your account is secure, the ability to view the devices that you’ve signed into Google on, view your location history, control which apps are connected to your account, and even delete your entire account if you want to leave the world of Google for one reason or another.

In addition to the My Account tool, Google’s got a new Privacy page to answer commonly asked questions. Included on the page are links to information like the type of data that Google gathers, whether or not the company sells personal data, and what Google does with the information that it collects. If you're an Android user and you’re not using the AirDroid app yet, you're missing out. It's by far the easiest way to wirelessly swap files between your phone or tablet and your computer. As an added bonus, AirDroid can also serve as a dashboard for your phone when you're on your PC. How about replacing it with one that not only gives you endless customization options, but also lets you sync it with your Android device and make information from your phone or tablet accessible right in your Chrome browser on desktop? SPOTS is an interesting duo of a Chrome New Tab page and an Android app that syncs across the two platforms. It turns the Chrome New Tab into a much more entertaining and feature-loaded window, displaying speed dials for your frequently accessed and favorite websites, access to flash-based online games and popular web services like Spotify, Twitter, 9GAG, YouTube, Hulu and more, view your Android texts and phone calls on your PC and even reply to messages. The Android app itself, which is essentially a quick launch panel that can accessed from anywhere in the OS, syncs with the extension to keep your personalized services accessible on your device as well.
