Thanks for the suggested descriptions, people! So what's happening? Sadly I have to report that the quality of the printed Bestiary I from LULU suddenly dropped remarkably, and I felt that I could no longer rely on their service. Bestiary I is therefore unavailable in print, until further notice.

Plan to Fail

Here's some concept art for a new approach to the ol' stand-by, the Space Marine. I really hate what people have done with the concept. It's a genre with so much freedom and possibility and potential, but everyone has been doing the exact same (shitty) thing for a decade or more. I'm so tired of it. I went with the approach of basing it in a realistic world, set in our future about 150 years or so.

C'est Noa tirée du T4 de SkyDoll (Barbucci+Canepa, Soleil Ed.) que, avec un peu de chance, verrà sa publication en 2012. J'aime bien ce style un peu "rough", j'ai gardé les taches que mon peuv vieux scanner à fait, plus j'ai ajouté une texture de "papier sale". Let's go folk!

Here is a creature design I did for Constantine Sekeris' new book MetaforFx (available for preorder on Amazon.com). The design is based on one of Constantine's brilliant sketches. He is a dear friend and one of the best creature designers working today. It was an absolute honor contributing to this book.

when i was a kid one of the first movie novelizations i read was condorman - funny thing was, i never saw the movie. the book contained a few movies stills - action sequences mainly, some villain shots, condorman fighting evil doers, and an awesome car.... my imagination ran wild! i saw the movie probably 20 years later. it didn't hold a torch to my imagination... a little goofier than i had dream up, but fun. so in my eye, condorman's kinda cool, or at the very least - he's got potential. i'm a firm believer than any character no matter how lame can be made awesome, and be used to tell an exciting story. so this is my take; a mashup of james bond and gatchaman. condorman, akin to batman, as a secret agent operative of the cia. condorman was a disney flick, and disney owns marvel, there are possibilities here....
