Generally, IFSA test was the best detection methods in screening of potato seeds although that, its sensitivity is lower than culturing on SMSA medium. But, it is faster, robust, cheap, screening large numbers of samples and reasonably specific method. In soil, use of modified semi-selective medium is the best in detecting R. solanacearum compared to those of other methods. Только праймер‐зонд системы РТС, (Weller et al., 2000) позволяет обнаружить все известные подтипы R. Solanacearum в ходе одного‐единственного теста. С 2012 г. этот протокол ПЦР в реальном времени используется Саксонской компанией по вопросам окружающей среды и сельского хозяйства (BfUL) в качестве метода обнаружения R. solanacearum в образцах картофеля. После внедрения этого теста в лаборатории, анализировались образцы, которые подозревались на выдачу ложнопозитивных результатов (поскольку они дали отрицательные результаты в других стандартных тестах, проведенных в соответствии с Директивой Еврокомиссии 2006/63 ЕС). Вначале для некоторых образцов были получены ложнопозитивные результаты.
