http://www.agric.wa.gov.au/PC_94422.html The Crop Phosphorus Model is designed to provide users with a tool for quantifying the yield and economic response to applications of phosphorus fertiliser in broadacre crops in Western Australia. The interface allows you to compare two options: Situation A and Situation B. In the charts for both situations the blue line shows grain yield, the red line shows gross margin and the X-axis is rate of fertiliser applied per hectare.

ARS USDA 08/07/04 Water-Treatment Residues Curb Phosphorus Runoff

ARS studies have found that residue from water-treatment processes—often discarded as waste into landfills—may make good soil treatments for preventing phosphorus loss in runoff from agricultural lands. At ARS's Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center in Florence, South Carolina, soil scientist Jeffrey M. Novak is studying an alum-based water-treatment residual that increases soil's capacity to adsorb (bond) phosphorus, a vital plant nutrient.
