How it Works

SheerWind’s INVELOX Wind Delivery is simply a better way to harvest wind energy. Wind is captured at the top of the funnel shaped INVELOX system. The omnidirectional intake area allows wind collection from any directionWind is funneled through the systemWind is concentrated and further accelerated in the Venturi Effect* section of the INVELOX system. *The Venturi effect is the phenomenon that occurs when a fluid that is flowing through a pipe is forced through a narrow section, resulting in a pressure decrease and a velocity increase.Wind is delivered to the turbine/generators to convert the accelerated wind to electrical power.

The generic designation for a family of analytical methods in which the enthalpy change of a chemical reaction is measured, directly or indirectly, in order to perform a quantitative determination of a reactant or catalyst .

Gold Book - enthalpimetric analysis

In general, at least one reactant is a liquid or solution. It is a subset of calorimetry in which the system is maintained at constant (usually atmospheric pressure), and the emphasis is on a quantitative determination in a reasonable length of time. Analytical solution calorimetry is a synonymous designation that may be used but is not preferred. Thermochemical analysis has been used but is not recommended because of potential confusion and overlap with the methods of thermal analysis .

The adjective thermometric is also associated with the names of some of these methods, but is not recommended as a general designation. Source: SDS-PAGE. Hull, S.N. Covey and P. Dale John Innes Centre Norwich Research Park Colney, Norwich NR4 7UH, UK Microb. Ecol. Abstract The 35S promoter, derived from the common plant virus, cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV), is a component of transgenic constructs in more than 80% of genetically modified (GM) plants. Introduction In a recent article, Ho et al. (1999) suggested that the widespread use of the 35S promoter of cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) in transgenic plants is "a recipe for disaster".

Dynamisk Periodiske System. Pando (tree) Pando (Latin for "I spread"), also known as The Trembling Giant,[1][2] is a clonal colony of a single male quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) determined to be a single living organism by identical genetic markers[3] and assumed to have one massive underground root system.

The plant is estimated to weigh collectively 6,000,000 kg (6,600 short tons),[4] making it the heaviest known organism.[5] The root system of Pando, at an estimated 80,000 years old, is among the oldest known living organisms.[6][7] Pando is located 1 mile southwest of Fish Lake on Utah route 25.[8] in the Fremont River Ranger District of the Fishlake National Forest, at the western edge of the Colorado Plateau in South-central Utah, at N 38.525 W 111.75. During intense fires, the organism survived underground, with its root system sending up new stems in the aftermath of each wildfire.

Lymfeknude.

Bulk movement. In cell biology, bulk flow is the process by which proteins with a sorting signal travel to and from different cellular compartments.

Bulk movement

Proteins often have sorting signals, either transport signals or retention signals, specifying if a protein will translocate to another compartment within the cell or is retained in the current, membrane-bound, compartment in which it is already located respectively. For instance, proteins with the KDEL sorting signal are specified to return to the endoplasmic reticulum from the Golgi (see vesicular transport).
