Text Effects - Flash Scary Effects

This page contains effects applied to some text objects, effects regarding the main theme of the website. The texts used can be easily changed with any other because the examples are built without the use of the "break" action on the objects. The fonts were chosen just so they fit better with our purpose, but you can search your own and we bet the resulting clips will be just as nice as these. Flash Tutorial - Playing Sound in Actionscripts

To add sound to your flash movie is very easy. Just import a sound file (in whatever format the flash editor can handle, e.g. mp3, wav... etc), and pull it onto the stage! However, if you want to have better control in playing the sound file, you may need some actionscripts. Below is an example where you can start and stop the music by pressing the corresponding start & stop button. Step 1 Open a new file in the Flash editor. http://www.flash-here.com/tutorials/flash_play_sound.html

open a folder and close the projector

Hey, to do this you should export your flash movie as a Windows Projector exe to go on the CD. You can close the projector using the command PHP Code: fscommand ( "quit" ); http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?t=67686

Animated Bubbles Cursor in Flash - Video Tutorial

http://www.flashandmath.com/intermediate/externalclips/ext_clip3.html Creating custom controls of video files (flv) is very easy in Flash CS3. While no ActionScript programming is required to make a nice looking video application, a little bit of programming goes a long way to giving you very precise control of a video. On this page we will provide the basics of importing flv files, the ActionScript code necessary for customizing the video controls, and show how to wrap things up to work in conjunction with the ideas on the previous page so that you can combine swf control and flv control in the same managing container. Before starting this tutorial we strongly recommend you go through the video tutorial Creating a video application with components from the Adobe website. We will enumerate the steps below, but we will not go into a great deal of detail since this very nice video already exists. Inserting an flv file into a your Flash movie

Flash CS3 External Clips

http://www.northcode.com/blog.php/2007/08/07/Conquering-FSCommand-EXEC-Part-1-Proxy A typical requirement you'll run across when developing CD based Flash projects is the need to open documents from your Flash projector . You can use getURL to open most documents, but sometimes the document opens behind the projector. The EXEC fscommand could be used to launch a helper application, but unfortunately the EXEC fscommand doesn't allow you to pass parameters to external applications so you have no way to tell the outside world which file you want to open. You can thank the creators of the first Flash virus ( SWF/LFM-926 ) for the fact that every version of the stand-alone Flash player since Flash MX has restricted the use of the EXEC command.

Creating Cross Platform CD-Roms « SizzlaBlog

Back in my University days having a Mac was not always fun in a Windows dominated campus. After looking over some of my files I decided to share with the world some of the code snippets I found along the way.
