We received an email about a new book that has recently been published called 50 US Architects: Residential + Planning. The author, Damir Sinovcic, sent along some info and fab-u-lous photos. This beautifully illustrated, 11" by 11" volume presents a curated collection of exceptional residential and master planning work from leading American designers. Meticulously detailed and site-specific, the featured projects focus on sustainability, technology, and the human spirit. They reflect ideologies and philosophies that are rooted in the modernist doctrine or distilled from vernacular precedents. The vase deconstructed by student Decha Archjananun. Archjananun split the vase into two basic functions, a vessel to hold water and a form to support the stems. Amazing to see how people are taking Google’s image capturing technology and adapting it for their own art. Top, Aaron Hobson’s photo-stitched images taken from remote Google street views are both beautiful and haunting.

New designs are posted every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and include the Bible story re-written by DeShano.Prints of each design are available on Society6 and proceeds are donated to charity helping to provide safe water to the village of Lwala, Kenya.
