New BBC Wales HQ to move to Cardiff bus station site. 10 June 2014Last updated at 09:27 ET By Huw Thomas BBC Wales arts and media correspondent Artist impression of the new building which will is part of the wider regeneration of Capital Square The site of Cardiff bus station is set to undergo a major regeneration with the announcement that BBC Cymru Wales is to move its headquarters there. The corporation's current HQ in Llandaff will shut and staff will relocate to a new £100m building in Central Square in 2018. BBC Cymru Wales director Rhodri Talfan Davies said the location was a chance to be closer to audiences. The ageing infrastructure of the current HQ is the reason for the move. The new 150,000 sq ft (139.355 sq m) building relies upon the wider Capital Square development around Cardiff Central train station to progress as planned.

The Capital Square project, to be delivered by Rightacres Property, include proposals to relocate the bus station. The new building will be in front of Cardiff Central train station. The Right Ingredients for Innovation. Innovation is crucial for growing a business in today's increasingly competitive global marketplace. In fact, 61% of CEOs surveyed in a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers report said that innovation is a priority or a primary focus of their business strategies. But creating an environment that fosters innovation and creativity can be a tough code to crack.

Based on the survey, Mindjet put together an infographic that illustrates the key ingredients a business needs to build an innovative work environment. Unsurprisingly, a culture that is supportive of innovation tops the list, followed by strong visionary leadership and a willingness to take risks and challenge organizational norms. View the full graphic on Mindjet's blog. Do you agree with the survey's findings?

Class of 2013: So, You Want To Start a Company? How to start a business and not get punched in the face. 11 years ago I was an impoverished student about to graduate with £14k in debt. I did what any sensible person would do in this situation, and started my own business. I co-founded with someone who proved to be less than ideal when he punched me in the face during our second board meeting. He owned 49% of my company. Our first annual profit – £200 – was barely enough to buy one iPod touch.

A decade later I’m almost embarrassingly happy (and successful), but the road there was long and winding. Here’s some of what I learned: On you as a founder Firstly, do it. On your business idea Don’t be afraid to change tacks. On marketing Marketing isn’t about changing people’s minds. On people Be slow to hire, quick to fireHiring can be a bit like dating, and if you jump into bed with the first passable partner that takes your fancy, you’re just creating an inevitable and painful breakup. Everyone I know who has ever tried had a single common refrain: they wish they did it sooner.

THE Cardiff Business District (CBD) project, which aims to transform the business offer of the capital, will be unveiled to potential investors at an event in London this evening.

Cardiff council is looking for property developers to come on board to realise its plans for a thriving new financial and professional advisory services led business quarter in the centre of the city. Eventually the CBD could create four million square feet of new grade A office space on land covering about 140 acres from Cardiff Bus Station, past the Callaghan Square office development and into Cardiff Bay. It will aim to attract leading financial institutions from London and the south-east of England and will open up the prospect for a convention centre. Cardiff council and the Welsh Government have committed up to £60m to the project, and expect that investment to pave the way for a further £100m from private sector developers. The CBD will be unveiled at an event in the City of London on Monday.

Russia May Face Debt Crisis Like Greece. Russia may face a debt crisis similar to the one gripping Greece by 2030 unless the government reduces spending, said Sergei Ulatov, the resident World Bank economist in Moscow. “By 2030 the debt level would be unsustainable like in Greece” if nothing changes, Ulatov said in an interview during the Russia and CIS Capital Markets Forum organized by Euromoney in London today. “Right now, we are mostly helped by oil prices and not by a very prudent macroeconomic policy.” Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin this week urged the government to cap annual spending increases at 4 percent to stabilize public finances and avoid state “paternalism” in running the economy. The budget deficit may narrow to less than 0.5 percent of gross domestic product this year if oil prices average $115 a barrel, according to Kudrin. Oil prices tumbled to the lowest level in four months today after the International Energy Agency said its members would release crude from strategic reserves.

He is a new kind of whistle-blower: one made for the digital age. Those before him (like Daniel Ellsberg) were limited in the ways they could go public with their information.

But in founding WikiLeaks.org, Julian Assange gave himself the freedom to publish virtually anything he wants, whether it's the true nature of Iraqi prisoner abuse, the double role Pakistan plays in Afghanistan or the personal e-mails of Sarah Palin. Assange's site, which he started four years ago, has made public a trove of secret and classified documents — close to 500,000 pages on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars alone. But in the process, governments he has targeted (like the U.S.'s) claim he has put the lives of informants and soldiers in jeopardy. Warranted or not, Assange is convinced that the governments and intelligence agencies he is unmasking are watching his every move, and as a result, he finds himself in virtual exile in Europe.
