Valentine's Day Snakes & Ladders - Itsy Bitsy Fun. Bandage Lightning Bugs Archives. This was one of those crafts that I was giddy about doing as soon as the idea came to me.

I bought these bandages for my son to play doctor with but forgot I had them. While brainstorming and playing with them in my hands I realized they’d show up great on black paper! My son had no interest in doing this, he just wanted to cover himself with the bandages and ask for kisses, but I know other kids will love it. Gather your materials. You will need 2 yellow bandages for each bug and one of another color, we chose orange but any color with enough contrast will work. You will also need 2 googly eyes for each bug, a yellow and a white crayon and glue. Bug Books ” The Very Grouchy Ladybug” by Eric Carle is more than a cute book about a crabby bug. Tin Can Shelf Craft ZingZingTree.

I always have a new love and this month it’s this adorable Tin Can Shelf Craft. Not only do they look fantastic but they are practical and a great way to upcycle some of those tin cans we constantly throw away. Paint your tin can inside and out using either water based enamel or acrylic paint. Both dry really quickly and leave a slight shine when dry. I used enamel paint for the colour and white acrylic paint for the inside both of which only needed three layers. When dry use a small tack to attach the tin can shelf to the wall. The perfect little place for putting all those cute Zelfs, Moshi’s, Trash packes etc. And small enough to leave little accents all over the house. This was part of a fab Tin Can Craft Hangout. Rainbow Batik. I saw this wonderful project at this great site Pink and Green Mama (a favorite of mine)- as soon as I saw the project, I just had to try it out with Holly as this was right up her alley. When I showed her what we were doing, she was very excited. We started with a white cloth napkin and if she enjoyed this project we would later tackle something larger like an apron or book bag. This was just the right size for now though. You take your Elmers Gel Glue and draw a design all over your fabric. This project, though it looks fancy, was amazingly easy and quick!

That’s right we are making some homemade Kool-Aid Playdough today!

How fun is this? This is an awesome and easy recipe. Your kids will love it and it is a perfect activity for the weekends and school breaks. The colors come from the different Kool-Aid flavors and the playdough smells yummy. Here is the recipe! Kool-Aid Playdough Author: Desiree Campbell Recipe type: Playdough Serves: 6 Ingredients 1 Cup Flour ¼ Cup Salt 1 Packet Kool-Aid ⅔ Cup Water *You will end up using between ½ and ⅔ cup. 1 Tb. Instructions Mix the flour, the salt, and the Kool-Aid together. Notes *Don’t feel like you need to use the full ⅔ Cup water. I thought it would be fun to put the playdough inside of Easter Eggs for Easter. If you want to do this make sure to first add tape to the inside of the eggs. The eggs come with small holes and you want to cover them so they become air tight, this way the playdough doesn’t dry. I found these clear small 2 oz. containers in the paper plate aisle at Wal-Mart.

I hope you give it a try! Giant Paper Rose Flower. If you loved the beautiful DIY wedding this morning and Nata’s gorgeous paper flower bouquets, you are in luck as Nata is sharing how she crafted them with us! She was inspired by a template created by Morgan Levine on Martha Stewart (as was I in the flowers I created for this styled shoot). I just love that this basic idea has inspired different brides to create their own version of giant paper flowers – you might remember these equally awesome giant paper flowers from this wedding I shared last year. :) Thanks so much Nata for sharing how you created your giant pink paper rose + special thanks to Studio Castillero for the photos of the DIY + her wedding!

Materials (to make one giant rose) Step 1: Cut the petals Cut 5-6 teardrop petals and 15-6 heart-shaped petals from the petal colored crepe paper. IMPORTANT: Crepe paper is directional so it matters which way you’re cutting the paper. Repeat until all of your petals are cut Step 2: Cut the leaves + calyx Step 3: Make the rose stem. The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly: Upcycled Puppet - Twodaloo. Last updated Tuesday, April 15, 2014 Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a fun puppet set that I made to go along with the classic rhyme “The Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly.” This rhyme is one of our favorites, and I’ve had the idea for this puppet floating around in my head for ages. The twins go to a cooperative preschool two days a week and I am lucky to be able to lead their classroom in activities pretty frequently, so when their sweet teacher said that this book was on the agenda, I volunteered to make this puppet to share with the class. Coincidentally, this rhyme was also a favorite of mine for speech therapy sessions because of the opportunities for sequencing, vocabulary development, and other great language targets.

Thanks to my ridiculously large stash of craft materials (I might be a bit of a craft hoarder), I was able to create this puppet and all of the pom pom animals from bits and bobs that I had on hand. Here are the supplies that I used (Amazon affiliate links included): How to... Make Blossom Fairy Lights (from Egg Cartons)! If you're new here, you may want to join us on Facebook or Google +. Made with love by Agus Y.: DIY: From Paper Clips to Mini Hangers.

A few days ago playing around with a paper clip I realize that if I opened and bended a bit, it turns into a mini hanger!! And you might thinking why I want a mini hanger for?? Well... You can see some examples of cards here Love, Agus.
