Last week, all of us who have been touched so monumentally by daytime, either being a disrespected fan, or a disrespected participant, are angry, sad, and in disbelief. To think that we will no longer be able to see characters that we have come to consider our own is a very odd feeling. It feels like a death in the family. Soap actors and audiences dance a dance. Someone is counting on the fact that today you are all whipped into a frenzy, and that tomorrow and next week you will have forgotten and forgiven.
Now you may be saying, ‘but CAT, you are usually so Zen! “The ratings kept declining” he will spin. “Yes, well that was the plan, wasn’t it?” Actually, How he stays employed is a mystery… however life is funny, and karma is not just a theory. A lot of destruction for someone unimaginative! From the get go it was very clear to those of us who had been through many regimes that you-know-who did not like soaps.

I don't really have an issue with Blair not being in court, because she probably didn't want to be in the same room as Marty.
Granted it's kind of 'childish' I guess if she couldn't put the animosity aside, but Marty's actions with Hannah allowed her to be out and about and to kidnap Starr and Hope and nearly bury Starr alive. I could see Blair thinking it's for the best to stay away. Todd is really the issue for me. Instead of supporting Starr, he's off planning a party. But then, that's Todd; he never seems to have much use for his kids unless he can come off as some kind of hero or use them to manipulate one of his women.
I doubt we'll see any kind of Todd comforting Starr, but I expect we'll see Starr/Blair, especially since Blair has been in Starr's shoes many times when Todd did something stupid and got sent to jail.
