Disney World of Color Road Show: SF, Sacramento, San Diego & LA Play Host to Disney Marvel. Last week, some local mombloggers and I were treated to a very special Disney show in San Francisco.

For a few hours that night, the historic Legion of Honor was transformed from it's normal ornate facade into everything from a Mayan temple to a Chinese Pagoda to a techno-marvel that looked like a giant motherboard. How? Through some lights, cameras and a little Disney magic. The World of Color Road Show is traveling to four cities in California (San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento and Los Angeles) to promote the wonderful World of Color light and water show at Disney California Adventure. The Road Show doesn't have the fire and water, but it does transform a landmark building into a marvel of light and color. The show runs 12 minutes, and has a different theme for each city. San Francisco's theme was "Love". July 15-18, SACRAMENTO: The theme is "Nature" with forest and garden scenes from such films as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Pocahontas,” “Bambi” and “Alice in Wonderland.” Rainbows, Bunnies & Puppy Dog Tails at Bowl Licker.

When Disney decides to do something – they can’t help but to do it right. I was invited to a great performance, the opening city tour of Disney California Adventure’s newest attraction “World of Color Road Show“, at the San Francisco Palace Legion of Honor. The World of Color Road Show has four different cities and four different theme shows on tap. Since San Francisco is bursting with Amore alla Tony Bennett’s unforgettable song “I Left My Heart In San Francisco”, the theme du noir was L-O-V-E. And love it was, as I admired the all that Disney’s Sr. It was 12 minutes of incredible optical and auditory transformation which completely metamorphosed this historical building within seconds. Untitled. Inside Look: Disney's new "World of Color" attraction and tour. I just returned home from a trip back East and was very busy getting my kids summer schedule finalized, when I received an email about a Disney media event in San Francisco. Attending Disney media events are always worth the schedule shifting and babysitting recruiting time, in return for some Disney magic. So – on July 8 – I attended the Disneyland World of Color road show stop in San Francisco. Here is the link to the World of Color road show press release with details on the tour, my pictures of the event are at the bottom of this post. The tour was created to take some of the magic of the World of Color attraction on the road. I first heard of the new World of Color attraction at Disney California Adventure park last spring and hoped to bring my kids to see it after it opened June 11, 2010. The World of Color opening day event at Disneyland press release explained the details of a the new attraction at Disney California Adventure: The tour is nearing the last stop: Los Angeles.

The Silent "I" Disney's World of Color Premiere: Lights! Cameras!...Water! - Th. I had the great privilege of being invited to Disney's World of Color premiere at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, California on Thursday, June 10. Disney sponsored myself and other family travel and mombloggers to be part of the media contingent who were allowed in for the opening night festivities. Along with viewing the show, we also got to hang out on the red blue carpet with celebrities, meet Disney executives and Imagineers, and hear about what's next for the Disney Parks, Resorts, and Cruises. It was a hectic but fun two day adventure, and I was honored to take part in it. The show itself is a visual and auditory extravaganza, a stunning display of animation, waterworks, fireworks, and lights. I had seen preview clips of the show, but none of them did justice to what we witnessed.

The show was introduced by none other than the Mouse Himself, and a series of spectacular fireworks. Think water and fireworks are enough? All photos are Copyright Glennia Campbell 2010.
