* The Shrine. Things magazine. 20 Unusual Churches (Part I. Is there a God? This must be the most popular and most often asked question of all times. Well, I can’t help you there, sorry. This post is not about religion, it’s about architecture. Not just architecture, but unusual architecture, and to be more exact – unusual churches. I am sure that there are hundreds and thousands of beautiful churches around the world, but only very very few are so odd, that you would definitely take a camera and take a picture. P.S.: if you know or have a picture of an unusual church, send it to us (email on about page).

P.S2.: full list can be found here: 50 Most Extraordinary Churches of the World 1. (Image Credits: Stuck in Customs) The Church of Hallgrímur is very very unusual, never seen anything like that. This Lutheran parish church is also a very tall one, reaching 74.5 metres (244 ft) height. It took incredibly long to build it (38 years!) The Architect of this building is Guðjón Samúelssondesign.

Hardly anybody can believe it when they are told this film is almost completely CG, computer generated and done by just one guy (Alex Roman aka Jorge Seva) in his spare time. A film about architecture and photography (the third and the seventh art). Enjoy. For those who want to know more: this is the T&S-site and here is an interview with Alex Roman on Motionographer and one in Spanish on Dimension 2.5 And for those who just do not want to believe it’s all CG, here are some “making of”-videos:

Roman and Williams. Roman and Willams is an amazing New York based interior designer firm that’s behind such projects like the Ace Hotel and Standard hotel in New York, among other things. Last night I spent an hour or so getting lost in their portfolio and for some reason when I woke up this morning all I wanted to do was tear my house apart, go thrift shopping and re-do the whole place… A selection of graphic projects.
