About - Adam Voigt. So what is a great LEARNING CULTURE?

About - Adam Voigt

Culture can be an obscure topic that occupies a great deal of conversation space - but is still perhaps rarely defined. In very broad terms, school culture is the intersection between effective leadership and effective behaviour management. Edu-neering a great school culture can be done ... with the right models, attitudes and plans. Each school's path to a great culture is unique, making the edu-neering a tricky job - but Adam is there to walk you, your leaders, your students, your colleagues and your community side-by-side to your desired destination. ... and unpacking that just a bit further:Adam believes that teaching and learning is a tough job these days.

Tim Wicks' ePortfolio

He became a contributing member of the team very quickly. The Darwin Regional Team benefitted from his ICT skills, his high level of organisation and his ability to clearly communicate. He is always happy to drop what he is doing to help colleagues with 'IT problems' and passes on knowledge in an empowering manner. Michael Jones - Principal, Millner Primary School, NT. Mr Mic: Reflecting on ICTEV 2012. This was the second year I have been to the ICTEV conference held at Melbourne Grammer and both years i've come back motivated, not from the keynotes necessarily but more from seeing what innovative teachers are doing all around Victoria.

Mr Mic: Reflecting on ICTEV 2012

The theme of the conference this year was Creative Connections, looking at how we foster creativity in our students. Alan November - Keynote Alan's presentation style is much like that of Professor Stephen Heppell, he's relaxed, seemingly unplanned, rarely uses predefined slides but instead talks passionately about what he believes in, in this case students as teachers and the changing role of the teacher. Quoting Hattie he talked about peer tutoring being the most valuable form of learning.

How the role of the teacher is not to disseminate knowledge but instead to act as a broker which connects students to authentic learning experiences. Samantha Decker's Online Teacher Portfolio » Website: SUNY Oswego French.
