Mission Statement of the OL - ECB TIG Web Site (Brief) The mission of the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) Organizational Learning - Evaluation Capacity Building Topical Interest Group (OL–ECB TIG) is to provide a networking, learning, and professional development forum for evaluators and applied researchers who: 1) actively foster or study a culture of organizational learning within the settings in which they work, and who 2) actively build, or study the building of the evaluation capacity of those with whom they work.

In support of this mission, the OL-ECB TIG promotes the following goals: i. Strengthening and sustaining effective evaluation practices by increasing the capacity of individuals to design, implement, and manage their own evaluation projects that are rigorous and adhere to the AEA Evaluation Standards; ii. Building and applying knowledge, skills and competencies related to effective evaluation practice; iii. Iv. V. Non-Profits & Foundations. Election Results! Mission Statement The Business, Leadership, and Performance Topical Interest Group is dedicated to the advancement of evaluation in the institutional context. While the topics of interest tend to be those identified by professional evaluators found in business, the methodologies employed and the lessons learned are applicable to any sort of organization involved in the following activities: Employing and training human resources Developing talent and leadership Establishing and communicating organizational objectives Managing institutional knowledge Developing and maintaining a structure of governance Engaging with local communities Additionally, this TIG welcomes discussion on more traditional business topics such as production, branding, innovation, return on investment, financing, and quality.

Eastern time. The 2012 conference theme is "Evaluation in Complex Ecologies: Relationships, Responsibilities, Relevance. " If you have session ideas related to advocacy and policy change evaluation, please think about submitting them through our TIG. There are several session types to fit your topic, including demonstration, think tank, panel discussion, expert lecture, and more.
