Now just 29 years old, what this driven North Carolina native has accomplished is mind-boggling, and 2017 is going to be his biggest year yet. Jerrod stars in the hit NBC series The Carmichael Show, which he also writes and executive produces.
The third season of the show premieres in 2017. Love at the Store is the funniest standup special I’ve seen in many years, and it’s the reason I reached out to Jerrod. In the summer of 2016, Jerrod reprised his role as ‘Garf’ in the Universal comedy sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising opposite Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. Joe McNally’s Blog. We celebrated Earth Day this past week. This observance has been around for a while now, and back in the 70′s I was occasionally assigned to cover some of the events. I shot the above for UPI one year, at an Earth Day observance at the UN. I recall it being the usual, uh, cluster….k, in NY press terminology, with all the papers, the wires, and the TV folks angling for angles and exclusives. I was working for the formidable drill instructor of editors, Larry DeSantis, or LD, as we called him, who told me in no uncertain terms to get the muckety-mucks. In color. Weer een leuke klus voor Aeroplus vorige week: met Sjoerd Jan ter Welle en 2 redacteuren van het blad Pilots and Planes, Goof Bakker en Erik Brouwer, naar Courchevel in de franse Alpen. We vlogen vanaf Rotterdam Airport via Lyon naar Chambery. In Lyon was het vrij mistig, maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. Vanuit Chambery ging het verder onder begeleiding van vlieg-instructeur Jean Baptiste naar Courchevel, 1 van de hoogste en gevaarlijkste landingsbanen ter wereld: een baan die tegen een berg ligt, naast de skipiste en een stijgingspercentage van 18,5% heeft.
Terug in Nederland veen rondje Antwerpen gedaan met Reinier van den Berg van Meteo Consult En daarna, als afsluiter nog een vlucht gemaakt samen met Ewald Polinder in zijn aerobatics vliegtuig. Een ontzettende kick om mee te maken! Ook 1 van de lastigste posities die ik tot nu toe heb meegemaakt om vanuit te fotograferen: ondersteboven hangend boven een ander vliegtuig.
