Topographies Christina Anton and Ida Hammarlund This project explores the meta ball script, using methods of layering and nesting of volumes within a topographic landscape. The organization of the massing begins with the box form of the hotel which transitions into an interconnected cluster of nesting programs which include retail, restaurant, galleries, art spaces, gathering areas and a main theatre and flexible theatre. The programs are eveloped by three skins, the outer topographic skin holds the programmatic volumes which flow into one another. This creates interesting spaces using negative space where the visitor can inhabit the geometry and interact around it. The transition between the hotel and the rest of the morhping geometry holds a restaurant and other more flexible hotel programs.

In architecture color has been used as a final application to geometry, a last layer on tectonics, used as a lighting device, media, bringing out qualities of materiality, ornamental and generally decorative. Using color from the beginning in a generative way, one can gain the freedom to design architectural functions as multiple conditions in space rather than limited to objects.
