Doctor Who. Lost: The 14 Casting Tapes That Started It All - Lost - io9. I watched the first episode of Lost, and I thought it was amazing. Midway through the first season, I had an inkling that maybe the writer's didn't know what they were doing. By that, I don't mean that they didn't know their craft. But even then, in interviews and articles, people were wondering if Lost was leading somewhere or if it was being thrown together as they went along.
