This December, in a surprisingly simple yet ridiculously amazing installation for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Ar , artist Yayoi Kusama constructed a large domestic environment, painting every wall, chair, table, piano, and household decoration a brilliant white, effectively serving as a giant white canvas. Over the course of two weeks, the museum’s smallest visitors were given thousands upon thousands of colored dot stickers and were invited to collaborate in the transformation of the space, turning the house into a vibrantly mottled explosion of color. How great is this? Given the opportunity my son could probably cover the entire piano alone in about fifteen minutes.

Epic time-lapse of Ho Chi Minh City
Using the fast-paced streets of Ho Chi Minh City as a backdrop, time-lapse photographer Rob Whitworth set out to illustrate the hustling population in one of his favorite cities in the world. It’s a stunning look at the hectic traffic of the Vietnamese city, with some awesome music in the background. Using over 10,000 RAW images shot over several sessions, Whitworth paints a portrait of a controlled chaos that anyone could appreciate. The criss-crossing flow of traffic during both day and night makes for stunning visual fodder. Watching the action speed up is reminiscent of witnessing a colony of ants or a hive of bees moving in a symphony of motion. There is real beauty in the complexity of the patterns of motion as vehicles approach each other head on, but somehow keep from hitting each other.
