Scientists make next-generation computers with gold and DNA
"No word on what happens when the virus bits and the DNA combine to make self-reproducing computers. It will probably be the end of the world. Who knew it would come in the form of crystalline gold viruses?" Kind of a cool idea, but you would need a genetic correlation for that. At best you would have viral capsids containing DNA that encodes whatever gobbledigook sequence these researchers synthesized into it... which probably contains no genetic information.
