Erik Verlinde
Erik Peter Verlinde (born 21 January 1962) is a Dutch theoretical physicist and string theorist. He is the identical twin brother of physicist Herman Verlinde. The Verlinde formula, which is important in conformal field theory and topological field theory, is named after him. Erik Verlinde Erik Verlinde

Power Shift - Learn Meet Jessica, a real power player: she invented a soccer ball that generates electricity when you kick it. Play a quick game of soccer with your friends, and you can power your household light for an entire evening. Jessica tested her idea in South Africa and Kenya. Now she has her own company called sOccket to help her spread her big idea all over the world. Power Shift - Learn
The Myth of Gravity The Myth of Gravity Meet Erik Verlinde , dutch theoretical physicist ( String Theory ) at the University of Amsterdam. He recently introduced a deep new way of looking at gravity , in which gravity is no longer seen as a fundamental force but as a emergent phenomenon. The way his reconceptualizations will lead to you inventing creative and sustainable ways to power our everyday lives lay still deeply hidden in our future. And by means of spreading his concepts i hope to contribute to this end.

Induced gravity Induced gravity (or emergent gravity) is an idea in quantum gravity that space-time background emerges as a mean field approximation of underlying microscopic degrees of freedom, similar to the fluid mechanics approximation of Bose–Einstein condensates. The concept was originally proposed by Andrei Sakharov in 1967. Sakharov observed that many condensed matter systems give rise to emergent phenomena which are identical to general relativity. For example, crystal defects can look like curvature and torsion in an Einstein–Cartan spacetime. Induced gravity
