Preamble There are enormous difficulties in classifying and evaluating the kinds of journals and proceedings in which information systems literature appears. This document contains a necessarily personal evaluation, intended as a guide to my graduate students and junior colleagues.

Note that: omission of a journal or conference means the list is incomplete; it is not an implied criticism of the journal or conference; once-off or occasional conferences and series are not included; the classification into AA, A, B and C is mine alone. Ces critères sont notés sur une échelle à quatre niveaux : A+, A, B et C. L’évaluation s’attache d’abord à déterminer la qualité de la production scientifique.
