Aun así, otro día prometemos entrar de lleno con el tema de fotografía y arquitectura, pues da más juego del que pudiera parecer.

Born in Barcelona, January '64. My interest in photography began when I was thirteen; then I got my first serious camera, a Canon AE-1. Since that day I took up experimental, architecture and landscape photography. Licensed in Philosophy, which I’ve studied in the UAB(Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), I coursed Photography in the same period in the IEFC for over five years. My professional career begins in 1992, when I decided to mount an advertising photography studio with a school colleague. Ending 1995, we decided to go each one by our own, and then I oriented myself towards my authentic matter of interest; the architecture photography.
Winner of five LUX awards on architecture photography, I’m collaborating at the moment with a wide selection of spanish and foreign publishers, architects, interior designers, publicists, constructors and professionals in general. About / Hélène Binet. “Hélène Binet has emerged as one of the leading architectural photographers in the world. Every time Hélène Binet takes a photograph, she exposes architecture’s achievements, strength, pathos and fragility.” (Daniel Libeskind) Hélène Binet was born in 1959 in Sorengo and is of both Swiss and French background. She currently lives in London with her husband Raoul Bunschoten and their two children, Izaak and Saskia. She studied photography at the Instituto Europeo di Design in Rome, where she grew up, and soon developed an interest in architetural photography. Over a period of twenty-five years Hélène Binet has photographed both contemporary and historical architecture.
Hélène Binet is an advocate of analogue photography and therefore she exclusively works with film. Dutch photographer Iwan Baan is known primarily for images that narrate the life and interactions that occur within architecture. Born in 1975, Iwan grew up outside Amsterdam, studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and worked in publishing and documentary photography in New York and Europe. Iwan fell unexpectedly into the subject of architecture in 2005 when he proposed to Rem Koolhaas that he document a project by the architect's firm OMA.
The proposal led to his first major project, the documentation of the construction of OMA's China Central Television (CCTV) building and Herzog & de Meuron's completed National Olympic Stadium, both in Beijing. Iwan collaborates with the world's foremost architects, photographing institutional, public and private projects by Rem Koolhaas, Herzog & de Meuron, SANAA, Morphosis, Frank Gehry, Toyo Ito, Steven Holl, Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Zaha Hadid, and young architects like Sou Fujimoto, Selgas Cano among others.
