Mar 26 2012 Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance and that are observed to occur together in a meaningful manner. The concept of synchronicity was first described in this terminology by Carl Gustav Jung, a Swiss psychologist, in the 1920s. The concept does not question, or compete with, the notion of causality. Instead it maintains that, just as events may be grouped by cause, they may also be grouped by meaning. http://www.aurelm.com/

Today we are going to review the DVD that was born of the great Flash Bus Tour of 2011 . When I first saw that there was going to be a combo of David Hobby and Joe McNally my thought was " boy that David is dreamy "... no wait, that was an inside thought. But seriously, my first thought was " what an odd combination " because if you know either of these guys you know they are polar opposites when it comes to Speedlights.

I was carrying two cameras at the time, and wanted to change lenses on my other camera, so I put the 5D on my tripod, and began switching lenses on my other camera. Then, about ten seconds later, my tripod fell backwards (with the 5D still on it), and there just happened to be a big rock where the 5D landed I sat there staring at my 5D on the ground for about five minutes, terrified of the damage I’d see when I picked up the camera.

Epic Edits For Sale It’s been over a year since I’ve updated this blog, and I’m finally coming to the conclusion that I need to part ways with it. I had a great time raising this site up from a mere nothing over five years ago, and I’ll always cherish the friendships and connections I’ve made along the way. At this point in my life and career, though, I just don’t have the time, ability, or motivation to keep it going strong. PhotoDump 06-21-2010»

The Photography Parlour : Tips and advice for aspiring pro photographers

Like so many photographers, these days, I first became aware of Katy, and her work, through other contacts on Twitter. I was drawn to the engagement photographs I’d seen on her blog, especially given the lakeside location and it being obvious that Katy was pretty local to me. As a fellow North West photographer it was inevitable that our paths [...] http://www.thephotographyparlour.com/
Photographers looking to take their first steps as professionals often use assistantships to build experience. Helping working professionals by carrying equipment, setting up lights or even taking shots as a second shooter puts them in the studio and at events, lets them see how a photography business works and gives them the kind of familiarity with rigs, lenses and people that no photography class can ever teach.
