Spandex I'd imagine, is good enough for home environment where the lights would be off to watch movies and what not. But with even any sort of added lights, the screen would look highly washed out, lacking contrast, etc. Besides, for $200, you could've gotten a manual ceiling/wall-mount 120" screen from Da-Lite/Draper and be done with it. cheaper for chinese brand or from Monoprice.

All in all, it's a meh DIY type of deal. And let's not forget what happens to spandex should it ever catch on fire... Let's be honest though, there's not $200 worth of materials in this build.
