Incandescent bulbs have been patronized by lighting designers and people who love the retro look since CFLs just don’t fit in with the look of a period décor.
Even though most eco conscious people in the world have switched to CFLs, they are generally concealed under lampshades and scones. The Lit LED bulb by designer Elie Ahovi are the next generation of smart lighting and merge the most sought out elements of both the incandescent bulbs and CFL lamps. Lit uses hybrid technology LED in the form of an optical fiber which is shaped to look like the filament of a regular incandescent bulb but is just as green as the CFL. The dimmable bulb is also shaped like the classic incandescent bulb which allows it to provide the same kind of energy efficiency and savings as the CFL while the bulb itself can be used in sockets and light fixtures that are made for traditional incandescent bulbs.
