PITCH & MATCH is a unique event on the 10th of December where investment professionals are introduced to the most inspiring social entrepreneurs. The RIO+20 Conference will be held on June 20-22, 2012, exactly 20 years after the ground breaking UN conference in Rio de Janeiro which launched the concept of sustainable development throughout the world.
It also spearheaded the Earth Charter initiative. The official focus of RIO+20 is on two themes: (a) a green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication; and (b) the institutional framework for sustainable development. The most urgent objective is to secure renewed collective awareness, enthusiasm and commitment for sustainable development. What has been accomplished? What needs to be done now?
On 23 May 2012 in The Hague, The Netherlands, the exclusive leadership forum “Wings for Rio+20″ will be held; a dialogue and call for conscious collective action from (emerging) leaders from business and society.
