Step 1: Select a lightweight or medium-weight suiting fabric with a prominent grain or stripe. Cut a half-leaf shape from fabric positioned on the bias. Step 2: Flip the cut-out shape over, and lay it on the fabric so stripes align exactly (they'll create the effect of veins when the leaf is opened); cut around it.
It’s always been my dream to live in a home with airy, open rooms and lots of exposed bricks, so when this renovation project from Amy came across my desk, I was instantly smitten. Located in Atlanta, this building is about 100 years old and originally served as a trolley depot. Thankfully, Amy and her husband did a wonderful job preserving many of the original details while adding some modern touches that complement the overall aesthetic beautifully.

Supplies needed: Acrylic dabbers, photocopy of an image, water spritzer bottle, paintbrush, card stock, craft sheet and heat tool (optional) Take the lid off the dabbers and brush the paint onto the card stock, ensure you get a good coverage
Sorry I’m a little bit tardy on my post today! My computer was having a small tantrum, I have an eye infection and my spectacles make me dizzy, and on top of that, it is SNOWING at my house today!

For Easter I made papier-mache polka dotted eggs. I created them using small water balloons and tissue paper then I filled them with candy and toys and sealed them shut. The egg can hold a surprising amount of candy and the tissue paper seems delicate making for a delightfully heavy and yet fragile object, much like real egg.
