Beach combing is a popular pastime among young and old alike. From Roman beach glass in Europe to glass fishing floats on the Pacific coast, people around the world like to collect the treasures they find while walking along the waters edge. Sea Glass is a worldwide passion. I have spent hundreds of hours a year searching for beach glass and use only select pieces (probably 1 out of 100 that I find). Many days I can load my pockets with these lovely treasures, yet on other days, I'll be lucky to find even 1 piece.

The best times I've found to collect is a falling tide after a 3 or 4 day onshore wind. Each beach differs so take notes on the weather conditions when you have a good day collecting sea glass.
