Thanks ramoneguru for notes on the security. I did manage to encypt the session_id and figured it was 32 characters via strlen() function. Like physics said, it doesn't seem necessary, but it's not hard to do with md5(), so I did it. Physcis, thanks especially for coming up with such a simple way to prevent membership fraud. I have the solution up and running on a site, and it's working like a charm.
