Map. TBL. Webmarketing. Stratégie. Workshop: Call for Papers. Overview SWAT4LS is a workshop that provides a venue to present and discuss benefits and limits of the adoption of Semantic Web technologies and tools in biomedical informatics and computational biology.
The first edition, held in Edinburgh in November 2008, received 40 submissions, of which 13 were accepted as oral communications, and part of them was included in a special issue of BMC Bioinformatics dedicated to the workshop. The second edition, held in Amsterdam in November 2009, received a total of 27 submissions, and presented a more varied program with 6 full papers, 3 keynotes, 5 demos, 3 short talks, posters session and a panel discussion. This edition has been evaluated unanoumosly well by participants and a special issue on the Journal of Biomedical Semantics dedicated to this workshop is in preparation.
