SchemaWeb is a directory of RDF schemas expressed in the RDFS, OWL and DAML+OIL schema languages. SchemaWeb is a place for developers and designers working with RDF. It provides a comprehensive directory of RDF schemas to be browsed and searched by human agents and also an extensive set of web services to be used by software agents that wish to obtain real-time schema information whilst processing RDF data. RDF Schemas are the critical layer of the Semantic Web. They provide the semantic linkage that 'intelligent' software needs to extract value giving information from the raw data defined by RDF triples.

What Is RDF

http://www.xml.com/lpt/a/1665 Editor's Note : "What Is RDF" was originally written by Tim Bray in 1998 and updated by Dan Brickley in 2001. Recently it seemed like time for another update, particularly to relate RDF and the Semantic Web to the cutting edge of web development. We've republished the original in a new location and offer the following update.

Microformats and RDFa deployment across the Web « Tripletalk

I have presented on previous occasions (at Semtech 2009, SemTech 2010 , and later at FIA Ghent 2010 , see slides for the latter, also in ISWC 2009 ) some information about microformat and RDFa deployment on the Web. As such information is hard to come by, this has generated some interest from the audience. Unfortunately, Q&A time after presentations is too short to get into details, hence some additional background on how we obtained this data and what it means for the Web. This level of detail is also important to compare this with information from other sources, where things might be measured differently. The chart below shows the deployment of certain microformats and RDFa markup on the Web, as percentage of all web pages, based on an analysis of 12 billion web pages indexed by Yahoo! http://tripletalk.wordpress.com/2011/01/25/rdfa-deployment-across-the-web/

ConverterToRdf - ESW Wiki

From W3C Wiki A Converter to RDF is a tool which converts application data from an application-specific format into RDF for use with RDF tools and integration with other data. Converters may be part of a one-time migration effort, or part of a running system which provides a semantic web view of a given application. See also: RDFImportersAndAdapters The package information in Debian and similar systems (Ubuntu, Fink, etc), with its general usefulness and its graph-like nature, is a clear candidate for conversion to RDF.
Update: Stardog is our entry into the commercial RDF database market. There’s plenty of talk about the purely technical aspects of RDF databases but considerably less talk about the RDF database market as a commercial software business. As I see it, the commercial RDF database market contains at least seven systems, listed here in random order: There are another 8 to 10 technically viable RDF databases available . http://weblog.clarkparsia.com/2010/09/23/the-rdf-database-market/

Convert XLS to HTML or XML Easily with 'Convert XLS'.  20 times faster than using Excel. Excel is not required.

http://www.softinterface.com/Convert-XLS/Features/Convert-XLS-To-HTML-XML.htm NOTE : 'Convert XLS' can be used simply with the graphical user interface (GUI). If you've never heard of 'Command Line' before, we would recommend not reading this section and instead download and try the software . This is just a sample from the documentation. If you have trouble running these examples please see Using the Command Helpful Hints For Creating a Command Line within the documentation . The first example shows how to convert a single worksheet within an Excel file to a HTML file using both the ‘Convert XLS’ and ‘MS Excel’ conversion methods.

A Two Day Introduction to the Web of Data

The contents here are for a 2 day course written by Talis . The two day agenda is designed to take people with a desire to learn about the Semantic Web, Web of Data and Linked Data from a position of no prior knowledge to the point where they can start practical work with these technologies. During the two day agenda we cover RDF, Data Modelling, RDF Schema (vocabularies, ontologies) and SPARQL through a number of presented sessions and hands-on practical tasks. The course is technical in nature and works well for Data Managers, Curators, Statisticians and Information Architects as well as Developers or Software Engineers. Day one of the course starts with introductions to the Web of Data and RDF, and leads on to data modelling for the Web using RDF. After lunch the practicalities of picking URIs as names for things is covered before going on to learnt the Turtle syntax for writing RDF. http://api.talis.com/stores/training/items/training.html
