Cheesy Spider recipe at Kraftcanada. Made this for my daughter's Halloween birthday party last year and it was a big hit amongst adults and kids alike. Easy, economical, and visually a real treat. We doubled the recipe which made for a very large/fat spider - had lots left over but the mix was delish on toasted bagels the next morning !

If you want to really gross out your friends, you can also label these as "Dog Penises" or even "Alien Dog Penises. " I haven't called them that here because... well, it's really gross and dog penises is not something I want to think about while writing about food.

Because as well as cute and tasty, these mummy dogs are super easy to make, as they use breadstick dough instead of the biscuit dough called for in most recipes.

So your dough will already be perfectly suited to making mummy wrappings. This will be one of the kids' favorite Halloween treat recipes, without a doubt. This recipe, based on an idea by Chuck T. at a craft forum I visit (thanks Chuck!) , is one of those gross recipes for Halloween that doesn't look at all edible-- but is.

It's a bit too sweet on its own (even for kids, I think!) , but tastes pretty good as a dip for apples and other types of fruit. Even better, you could think about doing individual servings of chocolate pudding served in disposable aluminum ash trays with this as a topping-- really funny!
