The Slits The Slits en 2007 The Slits (« les fentes » en anglais) est l'un des premiers groupes de punk rock féminin. Considérées comme les petites sœurs des Sex Pistols ou des Clash, elles furent sûrement parmi les premières musiciennes rock à s'affirmer avec autant d'énergie et de personnalité. The Slits demeure l'un des groupes importants de l'histoire du rock britannique et conservent des fans tels que Johnny Rotten ou John Peel.

The Damned are an English rock band formed in London in 1976.[2][3] They were the first punk rock band from the United Kingdom to release a single ("New Rose"),[4] an album (Damned Damned Damned),[5] to have a record on the UK music charts, and to tour the United States.
The Damned later evolved into one of the forerunners of the gothic genre.[6] The Damned played their first gig at a free festival held in Croydon. The Damned played their second gig on 6 July 1976, supporting the Sex Pistols at the 100 Club. In 1977, they became the first British punk band to tour the United States.
