One of her lines says, “Shut up, count your calories, I never looked good in mom jeans, Wish I was like you, Blue-eyed blondie, perfect body” this shows that she compares herself to other girls and making herself feel insecure because she doesn't look like them. One of the poems I chose is called "Beauty Standards" by Keleechi Kalu. I chose it because it demonstrates that people struggle with how they look because of what society has normalized as the beauty standard making people feel like they need to look a certain way to look attractive or good-looking. In this poem, Keleechi says, “Society's foolishness knows no bounds, Now you judge your self worth in pounds” this shows that people are starting to compare their bodies to other people and feeling like they need to lose weight or gain weight to gain self-worth.
