DIY – vintage buttons necklace « Born in 82 – Fashion and Creativity Blog. I am very proud of the project I propose today. A beautiful necklace made from old vintage buttons, a little ‘recovered in antique markets and some stolen from my mother. Here’s what you need: Sono molto orgogliosa del progetto che vi propongo oggi. Una bellissima collana fatta da vecchi bottoni vintage, un po’ recuperati ai mercatini dell’antiquariato ed un pò rubati alla mamma. Ecco cosa vi serve: First you need to put the buttons on the cloth looking for the composition of your choice. Per prima cosa dovete disporre i bottoni sul panno cercando la composizione che preferite. Be careful not to show too much glue, I was not very accurate and I spent a lot ‘to clean up the excess. State attento a non far vedere troppo la colla, io non sono stata precisissima ed ho passato un bel po’ a pulire quella in eccesso.

Once the buttons are glued cut the cloth so that you do not see the border. The project is almost finished, it will be enough to sew the chain and the necklace is finished! DIY Bold Shell Necklace | Tasha Delrae. I've been loving all the bold metallic necklaces we've been seeing everywhere lately. I got digging around in my craft supplies and quickly realized that large shells could easily be painted and made into a funky bold necklace! Materials and Supplies - Shells (3 was the magic number for me!) - Drill with small bit - Metallic Spray Paint - Chain - Jump Rings - Lobster Clasp - Eye pins - Pliers (pronged & regular work best) Instructions 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. All Done!! The necklace pictured above was made with shells about half the size of the ones used for the necklace I'm wearing in the first picture. And of course there's always the option of only using one shell. How's that for a last minute Christmas present for a friend!?!

Crème de la Craft | DIY projects made from everyday objects. What I love most about technology is that it's all about customization. From your wallpaper to your apps, it's all about you. That's what inspired me to create a custom, one-of-a-kind sleeve for my favorite tech-cessory. A bubble mailer is the perfect object to upcycle for this DIY project, because not only is it the ideal size and shape for a tablet, but its very function is to protect your stuff! So next time you receive a package in the mail, keep the envelope, cover it up with your favorite fabric and you've got a custom case for your iPad, iPod, laptop or phone. Or make it a DIY party at the next girls-night-in. You can even use it as a stylish clutch when you're out and about. Bonus: No sewing required.

Materials: • Bubble Mailer (10.5in. x 11in.) • Fabric (or repurpose pieces from an old t-shirt, dress or jeans) • Adhesive (glue gun, tacky glue, stapler and/or small brads) • 2 Buttons • Needle & Thread • Piece of Ribbon or String (approximately 8 in.) • Scissors. Crème de la Craft | DIY projects made from everyday objects. This week's DIY project is inspired by my favorite midnight snack: pistachios! After creating a pile of shells on my plate, I couldn't help but notice what a pretty shape they had. Now it's time to put them to use! By adding some paint, pistachio shells turn into such beautiful ornaments for creating jewelry. I decided to go with the ombrè gradient look, because of my recent obsession, but get creative and explore different colors. And if you love your pistachio shell necklace, take it a step further and make a matching bracelet, earrings or anklet.

I've worn my necklace quite a few times and absolutely love it! It's especially great for summer. Materials: • Pistachio shells (I used 34) • Small piece of thin cardboard • Glue gun or tacky glue • Acrylic paint • Mod Podge(not pictured) • Brush • Chain • Jump rings and lobster clasp • Needle nose pliers • Scissors.
