I went out yesterday to do my weekly shop, came home, and before I was able to bring in the first grocery bag Matt was hunting for the cookies and cream ice cream. One of Matt’s favourite desserts of all time is cherry cheesecake and I thought to myself why not Oreo Cookies and Cream Cheesecakes, that should satisfy his craving. Shintaro Ohata just finished up a solo exhibition at the Yukari Art Contemprary in Tokyo, Japan. This Hiroshima, Japan-born artist is known for his ability to show us everyday life in a cinematic way. He captures light in his paintings, showering the world, as we know it, with carefully placed strokes of it. "Every ordinary scenery in our daily lives, such as the rising sun, the beauty of a sunset or a glittering road paved with asphalt on a rainy night, becomes something irreplaceable if we think we wouldn’t be able to see them anymore," he told Yukari gallery.

Here's what you'll need: 10 small granny smith apples 1 envelope knox gelatin 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup coconut milk 2 drops yellow food coloring 1 envelope Land 'o Lakes caramel hot chocolate (regular would do just fine if you can't find caramel) 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup butterscotch schnapps lemon juice Halve and hollow out apples, cutting them from the stem down using a melon baller or spoon. Cut halves in quarters and those quarters in half again.
