Oversized cable neckwarmer. OVERSIZED CABLE NECKWARMER.

Oversized cable neckwarmer.

I knitted for myself a neck warmer with my favourite Soffio Plus (Adriafil) yarn on size 5.5 straight knitting needles. You can use any tipe of yarn in any weight to make this oversized cable neckwarmer but i think that the best yarn will be something soft with mohair. I just love the combination of 80% acrilic with 20% mohair. So cosy around the neck. The pattern is very easy. Cast on 80 stitches / 80 oczek / 80 mailles. Flame-collar Help - Pattern for Flame neckwarmer.

I made this neckwarmer accidentally when I was knitting a long scarf. I ran out of yarn so this is the result. It looks a bit like a flame and the name of the yarn is Cool Flamme. Sorry for being the absentee blogger here. I've been terrible both as a writer and a reader of blogs as of late. On the brightside it just really means that life is busy over here at Chez Tenten but be assured I've been knitting all the while. I am still loving the toy knitting and am missing my two animal friends who are residing at special homes.

While I am working on a lovely lace scarf in some gorgeous Madeline Tosh, I'm here to share with you a super fast cowl that I whipped up over the weekend. I call it the Luxe Cowl. What you need: Two Balls of Rowan Drift US 13 needles circs. Chunky Man-Cowl. Also, check out the NEW Chunky Man-Cowl!

Chunky Man-Cowl

My boyfriend wanted a warm, chunky and masculine scarf in “military-ish” colors. I looked at various knitting patterns for scarves and cowls but ended up buying a bunch of yarn in nice colors and improvising. The result is a long scarf, with Drops Karisma Superwash in gray and Drops Classic Alpaca in brown knit together in a waffle pattern, making it chunky and soft. I sewed the ends together to make a cowl that can go around twice to fit snugly around the neck. What you'll need: At least 6 skeins of DK weight yarn (I used 3 of the Karisma and 3 of the Alpaca) and a circular, or two 5.5mm pins. CO 52 stitches with double yarn (one thread of each) and knit the following back and forth. Row 1: K to end. Repeat rows 1-4 until you have a scarf long enough to wrap around your neck twice. BO and sew the ends together. Voilà! Tutoriel pour faire son propre Snood - Nappink Your Soul. Jeudi 3 mars 4 03 /03 /Mars 15:44 Kikou les nappink!!
