:: Guide to Research for Oral Presentations ::

http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/tutorials/weissman/oral_presentations/launch.html This 30-minute interactive tutorial was designed to help students incorporate online sources into their oral presentations. Students see how to use the Newman Library's online databases, how to evaluate and reference articles, and how to cite these articles in their speeches. Interactive activities and downloadable assignments allow students to practice the techniques on their own or in class. The links to the right allow direct access to the videos and the Database Navigator tool that are available in the tutorial. The videos (courtesy of Baruch's Digital Media Library) show examples of speakers using different kinds of sources and types of evidence. The Database Navigator helps students determine the appropriate Newman Library database to use for their research.
