Matt's second attempt at a cartoon. Futurama started in 1999 during the last year's of the Simpson's golden age. Futurama would win over critics and a small loyal fan base. However, FOX never felt the same with the show as they did with the sister show the Simpsons.

FOX ended up canceling Futurama sending it to Adult Swim for reruns. Futurama is Born. MATT GROENING looks like an ordinary guy, sitting at an ocean-view table at Shutters on the Beach. At 44, he has a little gray, a little paunch and the attention to fashion of a successful hardware salesman (knit shirt and khakis).
