I was hanging out with my cute sister-in-law Aleisha earlier this week and we were chatting over delicious seven layer dip that she had brought. I made the comment that I had never made it before because it seemed like too much work to make each individual layer and then stack them all up (I am lazy like that). She told me that this dip couldn't be easier- just buy everything pre-made!
Magically Delicious! Unicorns may manage their elusiveness but they left behind some fanciful evidence of their existence and I was able to recreate their leavings. This unicorn poop, in reality, has a funny story.
How To DIY 3 Extra-Cute Pairs Of Cut-Off Shorts By Susan Williamson , Photographed by Erin Yamagata Although it may seem super easy to craft a pair of effortless denim cut-offs, as anyone who's haphazardly tried (and inevitably failed) knows, there's more to the denim short than meets the eye. If you're looking to turn an old pair of jeans into your next pair of staple shorts, let us walk you through it, and save you from ruining a pair of jeans. We'll start with the most basic cut-off (hint: cut at an angle for the most flattering hem) and work our way up to two unique (and ultra-chic) takes on the summertime classic. We promise, this guide won't come up short.
The famous deadmau5 icon has evolved over the years. This tutorial explains how to make a deadmau5 head like the red one worn with a business suit. The illustrations for the steps are a bit funky and are not to scale, but they convey the necessary information. Measurements are indicated by red lines and numbers in the diagrams, and all measurements are in inches. If you have any suggestions for improving any of these steps, please share them. (The part where you fit the felt over the mau5 head is especially tricky, so I’d love to know if anyone has good strategies for that step.)

The lanterns may look intricate, but it takes only half an hour to make one. They appear festive and ethereal by day and, if you place low-wattage lightbulbs inside, softly radiant by night. The lanterns are monochromatic, but you can play with the design by creating an ombre pattern (gradations of the same color) or stripes.
I had this whole spiel ready about how real men do, in fact, eat quiche, as demonstrated by Ben who housed nearly a dozen Mini Ham & Cheese Quinoa Cups that resemble wee baby quiche for dinner, but then I remembered that quiche have crust and Mini Ham & Cheese Quinoa Cups do not, so in reality they’re more like mini frittatas and well, all was tragically lost. Ok, let me explain. First of all, Mini Ham & Cheese Quinoa Cups might be my new favorite thing on the planet. I may or may not have squealed with delight when they came out of the oven. THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!
Shakuntala Zakheim is sharing a fun craft to do with your kids--how to make flowers from duct tape, using an ordinary pen and duct tape in a variety of vibrant colors. The pen serves as the stem of the flower, and the folded duct tape becomes the petals! Check out the video clip above and get ready to try this project with your little ones. It makes for a great afternoon activity to do for Mother's Day, and the children have a fun gift they can give you at the end.
Hi, my name is Himani and I’m a sugar addict. But the only thing that holds me back from devouring a sinful concoction is if it looks super cute. You know… because cute desserts deserve to live longer than the ugly ones (I’m going to some sort of sugar-y hell for that one). Check out some of the cute desserts that you will think twice before you put them in your belly:

Let's keep things simple this week. When it comes to personal-care products, we are big believers in streamlining what you use—see " Eight Products You Think You Need But Don't " for a refresher—buying less in general, and getting creative. We have both always loved experimenting in our kitchens and our bathrooms, checking ingredients in products we love, isolating the main ones, and then trying them on their own. Sometimes it works: A favorite hair leave-in contained aloe, for example, so one day we tried aloe alone and found that, lo and behold, it worked just fine on its own.
So…I saw your tweet. You’re “bored”? I am…absolutely floored. Hopelessly lost in admiration! You are everything I aspire to be.
Last week I posted a pic on Instagram of some shoes I was glittering for my friend, Stacy . She wanted a pair of glitter booties like this pair but since they were no longer for sale I decided to make her a pair. I recieved tons of questions about the process and supplies.
