Register for the Test. The GRE® revised General Test is available at about 700 test centers in more than 160 countries.
It is offered as a computer-based test year round at most locations around the world and as a paper-based test up to three times a year in areas where computer-based testing is not available. You need to create or have a My GRE Account to register for a GRE test or to view your scores. Review the Registration Checklist below before creating your My GRE Account. If you have health-related needs that require you to bring equipment, beverages or snacks into the testing room or to take extra or extended breaks, you need to follow the accommodations request procedures described in the Bulletin Supplement for Test Takers with Disabilities or Health-related Needs (PDF).

You don't have to complete the online application in one sitting--you may access your application and change your answers as many times as you like using your email address and password from any computer with Internet access. Submit the application electronically once you have answered all required questions. Some online applications require the payment of an application fee. Any application fee can only be paid by Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. Once you log in, you will be presented with further instructions about navigating the system and filling out the various applications for admission.
