El Oficio de Autor - Introducción. Igual que un ebanista utiliza distintas herramientas y técnicas para hacer un mueble, un autor habilidoso emplea herramientas y técnicas lingüísticas y narrativas para escribir un texto.
Nosotros hemos organizado el trabajo del autor en dos categorías, Elementos narrativos y Recursos literarios. Usamos la expresión Elementos narrativos para describir aspectos relacionados con contar historias. El término Recursos literarios se refiere a herramientas lingüísticas específicas que pueden aparecer en cualquier género literario. Nuestros Elementos narrativos son el escenario, la anticipación y la caracterización. Se pueden aplicar a la mayoría de los textos que cuentan una historia, de ficción o no-ficción, y tienden a estar muy relacionados con un hilo narrativo general.
Nuestros Recursos literarios son los siguientes: aliteración, personificación, símil, metáfora, alusión, ironía y estructura paralela.
