Astrology, Ayahuasca, and Reincarnation. Almost one year ago right now I had my first actual past life regression experience. As an astrologer having studied the big Evolutionary scholars like Jeff Green, Steven Forest, et al, I had already been in the practice of intellectually reading the archetypal patterns of the moon's nodes in the birth chart, their planetary rulers, the aspects being made and the planetary house positions. I was getting good at reading people's current situations and creating metaphors and parables about possible past life scenarios, always being careful to not talk about their "past lives" too literally.

Instead I would talk about past lives like a metaphor pointing at our genetics, DNA, ancestory, and so forth. I knew what I didn't believe about past lives. The Dream I wake up standing at a door. I wake up sweating and breathing rapidly. I know intellectually, at this moment, that I've had a past life regression dream. The Ayahuasca Vision The Retreat Interpretation 1. 2. 3. Astrology and Reincarnation. Astrology and Reincarnation (Reprinted from The Mountain Astrologer) Steven Forrest Maybe, as Buddhists teach, we’ve all lived many other lifetimes. Or maybe not. I doubt the question will ever be settled definitively since neither belief can be refuted or proven. Two points, however, are sure. A third one flows naturally from the first two: 1. 2. 3. In this article, we’ll focus on the royal road into the karmic story: the lunar south node. The Lunar South Node All the astrological planets except the Sun have south nodes, and they all make reference to the past. Imagine a child grievously abused. That is precisely how the Moon's south node works. In all counseling work, there is an obvious case to be made for an upbeat, positive approach. The south node is always in the past. There exists a star wisdom-a "science of the stars"-which one needs to understand karma, and that linked to this is a "science of karma". For more than a quarter of a century I have occupied myself with the science of the stars as a science of reincarnation and karma. After a six-year teaching career in mathematics at England's Brighton University (formerly Brighton Polytechnic), I embarked upon a thirty-year odyssey of research into the origins of astrology.

Resulting from this research, I wrote my thesis on the "History of the Zodiac" for submission to the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. There I was awarded the title of Ph.D. on March 3, 2005, and in the year 2007 my thesis was published under the title of History of the Zodiac. Esoteric astrology involves the study of more spiritual aspects, such as the development of the soul.

There is a belief among some reincarnationists that esoteric astrological readings can aid one in discovering a past life, in which case this aspect of astrology may be called karmic astrology. For such past life reading purposes some karmic astrologers regard it as essential to study not only the common natal (birth moment) chart, but the conception chart and the soul chart. The last of these three charts is said to deal with the time the soul first attaches itself to the mother who would bear the soul’s next body. This attachment might take place not only before birth, but even prior to conception. In the view of some astrologers the planet Saturn is connected to past karma and, therefore, called the ruler of karma, ruler of destiny, or even the lord(s) of karma.

The concept of karmic astrology has not been universally accepted by reincarnationists.
