Tree naming angers Aboriginal community

Forestry's defending the move, saying it has the support of many in the Aboriginal community. Forestry Tasmania's traditionally used terms from European mythology to name giant blue gums in the southern forests, but has recently started using Tasmanian Aboriginal names. Sara Maynard, from the Aboriginal Centre, says most indigenous people oppose Forestry's environmental practices, and she has accused the company of abusing Aboriginal language to boost its image.
