Frostburn. Building a sauna - How to build a basic sauna. Sauna Building - Sauna Stoves Disclaimer: this account of sauna building is what worked for us. It is entirely at your own risk to pursue such a project and a fire extinguisher to hand (stored outside of the sauna itself), never bathing alone and leaving if you feel dizzy or overheated are essential for safety.
People with heart conditions or not used to sauna bathing should exercise extreme caution with this type of sauna bathing. This is a basic account of how we built a basic sauna on a small budget, including a wood burning sauna stove. This shed based sauna is not designed to give a lifetimes use but ours has been used frequently for a year or so now and has held up and works perfectly adequately. Where?? We chose the shed. Building the Sauna Our shed was a pretty standard 8'x5' size of the type found in many gardens. The floor of the shed was lined with pine planks, sanded smooth and splinter free. The walls and roof were lined with standard tounge and groove pine cladding. Furniture. Untitled Document. Greenhouse Do It Yourself. Home gardening is an enjoyable hobby for many people. If you are among them, you might benefit from a small backyard greenhouse.
A greenhouse can be built easily and inexpensively in several hours using simple hand tools and materials available at most building and plumbing supply stores. This publication presents plans and instructions for an easily constructed greenhouse that only costs about $100 and may be used for many purposes. Measuring 12 feet by 14 feet (168 square feet), it is small enough to be unobtrusive but large enough to meets the needs of the serious grower. Selecting a Site Choose a level, well-drained plot for the greenhouse. NOTE: If the greenhouse will be used for starting transplants or growing plants to maturity, it will need maximum exposure to the sun. Constructing the Greenhouse The greenhouse consists of a wooden frame to which are attached bows of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. Use treated lumber.
Risk Management. Security Means Making Trade-Offs to Manage Risks Security isn't having the strongest lock or the best anti-virus software — security is about making trade-offs to manage risk, something we do in many contexts throughout the day. When you consider crossing the street in the middle of the block rather than at a cross-walk, you are making a security trade-off: you consider the threat of getting run over versus the trouble of walking to the corner, and assess the risk of that threat happening by looking for oncoming cars. Your bodily safety is the asset you're trying to protect. How high is the risk of getting run over and are you in such a rush that you're willing to tolerate it, even though the threat is to your most valuable asset? That's a security decision. Not so hard, is it? Satellite photo of BM taken on the 2nd by the good people at. 4chan launches DDoS against entertainment industry. Securing your IT Infrastructure with SOC/NOC collaboration The denizens of 4chan launched a series of distributed denial of service attacks against entertainment industry websites over the weekend, protesting legal actions against torrent tracker website the Pirate Bay.
Packet floods knocked websites maintained by the MPAA and RIAA intermittently offline over the weekend. Later attacks against the BPI were not as successful, possibly because site admins were forewarned that an attack was on the way. "Operation: Payback Is A Bitch" began as an attack against Aiplex - a controversial Indian firm that works for Bollywood film studios and carries out DDoS attacks on websites hosting BitTorrent trackers that fail to respond to takedown notices - before progressing onto other entertainment industry websites.
The attacks were initially coordinated via a IRC channel, which has since been taken offline. Participants in the attacks are invited to download one of two attack tools.
