I joined Asda in 2011 as a Trading Assistant in the Party team. After 18 months I was promoted to Customer Planning on Festive, Halloween & Party and spent a year doing that before moving to my current role as National Media Planner in Corporate Marketing. I work with media owners and our media agency to plan and book media spots for all our Asda and George marketing campaigns. Our Creative team here make the actual ads, but I’m involved in choosing whether they go on TV or in magazines, and exactly where and when. Focus on: ASDA Graduate Roles – Buying Manager (Desserts and Baking) I studied BA Business Studies at University – a 4 year course at MMU with a placement year.

I attended the Asda in-house graduate day and instantly knew that I wanted to work for the company. Asda’s happy and fun culture came across loud and clear as we were greeted by a welcoming group of Asda colleagues and introduced to the company’s heritage. We were also guided through the opportunities available to Asda colleagues and it was obvious that they really do empower respect for the individual. Asda is a well-known and respected brand, which means competition for roles is high, but coming from an academic retail background I knew that successfully gaining a position here would mean a challenging and very rewarding career.
