Cut Copy are an Australian electronic band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford on vocals, keyboard and guitar. Other members are Tim Hoey on guitar and sampler, Ben Browning on bass guitar and Mitchell Scott on drums. Their second album, In Ghost Colours peaked at number-one on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2008.WhoMadeWho (or Who Made Who ) formed in 2003, with falsetto voiced bassist Tomas Hoffding coming from the Scandinavian rock underground, singer songwriter/guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg from the avantgarde jazz scene, and drummer Tomas Barfod – who also records as Tomboy and is part of Filur with Kasper Bjørke . [ edit ] Career The band released several 12-inches on German disco label Gomma Records including Out the Door and Space to Rent , culminating in their self-titled debut album WhoMadeWho in 2005. In 2009 they released their second album The Plot .

New Young Pony Club are an English electronic music band from London , formed in 2004. The band consists of members from London, Hereford , Cambridge and Bromley . Their influences are prominently from post-punk and New Wave . [ 1 ] New Young Pony Club are influenced by many different bands and acts, and try not to risk becoming too close to the sound of any one other band. [ 2 ] Their own take on their music is "We marry the dance ethic with the pop ethic, and make something that you can dance to and sing along to". [ 3 ]Goldfrapp is an English electronic music duo from London , formed in 1999. [ 1 ] The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesizer ) and Will Gregory (synthesizer). Despite favourable reviews and a short-listing for the Mercury Prize , [ 2 ] [ 3 ] the ambient sound of their 2000 debut studio album Felt Mountain did not chart highly. [ 4 ] Goldfrapp's second album Black Cherry , which incorporated glam rock and synthpop sounds into their music, was released in 2003. [ 5 ] The album influenced the same dance-oriented sound of their third album Supernature . [ 2 ] Supernature took Goldfrapp's work further into dance music , and enjoyed international chart success. [ 4 ] [ 6 ] The album produced three number-one US dance singles, [ 6 ] and was nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 49th Grammy Awards . [ 7 ]

Étienne Bernard Marie de Crécy ( French pronunciation: [etjɛn də kʁesi] ; also known as Superdiscount , EDC , Minos Pour Main Basse and Mooloodjee ) (born 25 February 1969, Lyon , France ) is a French DJ and producer who composes Electronic music , primarily House . [ edit ] Biography Crécy was born in Lyon, but moved to Versailles from Marseille in the mid 1980s, attending the same Jules Ferry college as Air and Alex Gopher , with whom he later created the Solid label. He then worked in Paris as a sound engineer at studio +XXX ("plus thirty") where he met Philippe Zdar of Cassius , with whom he worked on the Motorbass album, [ 1 ] a preview of what would be his second album: Super Discount , released in 1996, with Air, Alex Gopher and other French artists on Solid. Étienne de Crécy has been involved in various music projects where he worked as a producer." Face to Face " is a song by the French electronic music duo Daft Punk , featuring vocals and co-production by Todd Edwards . It was released as a promotional single from the 2001 album Discovery as a 12" single for those who pre-ordered the 2003 remix album Daft Club . [ 1 ] As part of Discovery , the song appears in the film Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem , and therefore the section of the film in which the song appears serves as the music video . The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Club chart in 2004. The Presets are an Australian electronic music duo formed in 2003, consisting of Julian Hamilton on vocals and keyboards and Kim Moyes on drums and keyboards. The duo released their debut album, Beams , in 2005 and received a positive critical response. [ 1 ] The 2008 release, Apocalypso , debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart . At the ARIA Music Awards of 2008 , the pair won "Best Dance Release" and "Best Group", and became the first electronic act to win "Album of the Year". [ 2 ] In 2009, The Presets' Hamilton and Moyes won an APRA Award for "Songwriters of the Year" [ 3 ] and an ARIA Award for "Best Dance Release" for " Talk Like That ".
