If you have missed the previous three projects for easy and quick Mother’s Day treats you can find the links at the end of this post. This is my favorite body scrub. {not just because it is yummy Brown Sugar and Vanilla either} It’s the perfect exfoliate for your heels, knees and elbows and great for your tan legs in the summer time too. You want to begin by mixing 2 Cups of Brown Sugar and 1 Cup of Granulated Sugar together until there are no lumps.

Add in 1 Cup of Sunflower Oil and 1 Tablespoon of Pure Vanilla Extract. Mix together well and scoop into a sealable glass container. Disney Princesses. Fishtail Braids. Regency Hairstyle Tutorial 2. How To Style Maiden Braids

Yesterday she came in and we photographed these simple step by steps. Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example). Steps 1-2: Braid two strands on each side of a center part. Steps 3-5: Wrap braids around the crown of your head and pin in place with one pin each. Step 6: Arrange braids so that they cover the front of your head like a headband. Steps 7-8: Pull the rest of the hair into a ponytail and pin it into a cute messy bun. Step 9: Add final pins and spray. Binosusume's Hair Channel. Kimono Hairstyle Pic. Kimono Hairstyles. Trends in Japan. Mori Girl. Mori Girl

The first is an actress many of you will be familiar with if you've been following this blog. Yu Aoi (蒼井優) was born on 17 August 1985 and is an accomplished actress known for her roles as displaced, sensitive characters. She was also identified in a poll as the celebrity most representative of the mori girl subculture. She never looks like she has any makeup on and always seems to be wearing interesting clothing. I admit I've been a big fan of Yu's for a quite while now! Taken from her photo books Travel Sand, Dandelion and Portugirl respectively. Stills from one of her latest films, One Million Yen and the Nigamushi Woman (otherwise known as One Million Yen Girl), in which she plays a girl who leaves home and wanders around different towns doing odd jobs until she's saved one million yen.

Girls of the Forest

(C)ASCII MEDIA WORKS Inc. The phenomenon of mori girl (forest girls) is becoming the talk of the town. Mori girls favor loose-fitting clothes, particularly dresses, typically made of natural materials and in naturalistic colors like white or cream. This gentle style is winning the hearts of young women seeking comfort in a restless age. "Forest Girls" DefinedMori girls are so called because they look as though they would be very much at home in the woods.

The term mori girl is thought to have come from the name of a community launched in August 2006 on Mixi, a Japanese social networking service. All in all, the impression is light and feathery. True ColorsThe mori girl style does not seek to be attractive to men, unlike the mote (popularity-boosting) fashion that was big around the first half of the decade. Two words, friends: Steampunk Oz. “Tin Man” is an original mini-series from the Sci-Fi Channel. From a costumer’s point of view, the character costumes created by Angus Strathie are delicious. While I’ve written this post from sf/f costumer’s point of view, steampunk enthusiasts seeking inspiration will want to watch this movie repeatedly.
