What 20-Somethings Want. You want to find someone who will pick you up from the airport. It’s such a kind gesture but also one you would expect from someone who loved you a reasonable amount. The thought of having to wait for a shuttle while others are embracing their loved ones on the curb might just be too much for your little heart to bear. Where’s your car full of love? Where are the people who are going to make you feel welcome in this city?

And, no, you are NOT going to take a taxi. You want to live closer to your parents. You want to be “stable” and see yourself make real progress. You want to develop a backbone and start saying no to having lunch with the random friend from high school. You want to know that you’re not insane, that there are other 24-year-olds have never been in a relationship before, or that other people have gotten too drunk and vomited on their taxi driver before and it’s all okay because this is growing up. 60-Year Data: Tornadoes a Major Threat Beyond Tornado Alley. WD-40 Can Do All That! Who Knew? - Trudge164. According to WD-40 folklore, a guy who had just bought a new pickup got up one Sunday morning and saw that someone had spray painted red all around the sides of this beige truck (for some unknown reason).

Needless to say, he was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do. His neighbor came out and told him to get some WD-40 and clean it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully and did not harm his paint job that was on the truck. Water Displacement #40, AKA WD-40 began as a research project to develop a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. In the year since the Museum of Art and Design reopened in its new digs on Columbus Circle, they've been delivering consistently compelling shows--from punk-rock lace to radical knitting experiments. The newest, "Slash: Paper Under the Knife", opened last weekend and runs through April 4, 2010. The focus is paper--and the way contemporary artists have used paper itself as a medium, whether by cutting, tearing, burning, or shredding. In all, the show features 50 artists and a dozen installations made just for the show, including Andreas Kocks's Paperwork #701G (in the Beginning), seen above. Here's a sampling of the other works on display: Mia Pearlman's Eddy: Ferry Staverman, A Space Odesey: A detail of a sprawling work by Andrew Scott Ross, Rocks and Rocks and Caves and Dreams: Lane Twitchell's Peaceable Kingdom (Evening Land): Béatrice Coron, WaterCity: Between the Lines, by Ariana Boussard-Reifel: A book with every single word cut out:

Berners Street Hoax.

The Berners Street Hoax was perpetrated by Theodore Hook in the City of Westminster, London, in 1810. Hook had made a bet with his friend, Samuel Beazley, that he could transform any house in London into the most talked-about address in a week, which he achieved by sending out thousands of letters in the name of Mrs Tottenham, who lived at 54 Berners Street, requesting deliveries, visitors, and assistance. On 27 November, at five o’clock in the morning, a sweep arrived to sweep the chimneys of Mrs Tottenham's house. The maid who answered the door informed him that no sweep had been requested, and that his services were not required. A few moments later another sweep presented himself, then another, and another, 12 in all.

Theodore Hook, perpetrator of the hoax Hook stationed himself in the house directly opposite 54 Berners Street, from where he and his friend spent the day watching the chaos unfold. The site at 54 Berners Street is now occupied by the Sanderson Hotel. See also[edit] Notes. Levitating Water. A.y. - just so beautiful pictures ...oO°
