Love notes {easy note cards} This weekend I taught a lesson at church that focused on how our attitude can affect the overall feeling in our home.
I encouraged the girls to leave little love notes for their parents and siblings to show love and appreciation and make their home a happy place. I wanted to give them each three cards to use, so I had to come up with about 24 cards. Yikes! I decided on this quick and easy design that is also a great paper stash-buster. They'd also make great last-minute Valentines and are perfect to have on hand for gifts! Little Love Notes {Tutorial} Supplies:*Patterned paper*Plain card stock for card base*Paper punches (I used a couple of different hearts, a butterfly, and a star)*Sewing machine and thread*Scissors 1. 2. 3.
Whew! 4. But wait, here are a few more--they were so cute I hated to give them away! Valentine's Day Matchbook Card. By Patricia Zapata When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of cards and candy boxes.
I decided to combine a card with a box-type element and came up with this matchbook card! As you’ll see, this special card also happens to double as wall art. Materials 2 sheets of letter-sized white card stock 1 sheet of letter-sized red card stock Craft knife Cutting mat Metal ruler Bone folder Glue I used very small amounts and spread it with my finger tips. Glue tape can be used if you feel the paper may warp with liquid glue. Directions Step 1: Download the PDF above and print out pages 1 and 2 on white paper and page 3 (heart cover) on red paper. Step 2: Using a craft knife, cutting mat, and ruler, cut out along the outer lines of the three parts of the project. Step 3: Score along the remaining solid lines of each of the three pieces. Step 8: Cut out a small red heart by hand or using a heart punch and attach it to the tree trunk in the center of the card (personalize it with an initial!). Related. Cardboard thank you postcards. With the new year upon us, the reduce, renew, recycle mantra is at the forefront of our brains.
That paired with a long list of thank you notes still to write inspired this recycled-cardboard postcard project. We have so many boxes around from the holidays that we decided to cut them up and make our own thank you notes. (We still have until mid-month before we start pushing the rules of etiquette, right?) We did these postcards a few different ways, so based on what you have around your home, you can pick whichever method you like. Sometimes the space on a postcard is all you need for a sweet, succinct note. CLICK HERE for the full how-to after the jump! Day 9 - note cards. I had such a wonderful Mother's Day!
I woke up to hugs and kisses, tulips, roses, and breakfast in bed. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon with my brothers, their significant others and my parents. Just a really nice day—the kind where good company and some laughs are all that you need. These cards are similar to ones that I included in the stationery box for my Mom (forgot to take a photo!). I love all the color possibilities and the added texture of the colored paper on the surface of the card. I hope you're having a great start to the week!
